Abstract

Abstract We report preliminary studies of thermally driven flow in helium films near the superfluid transition. Experiments using a modified torsional oscillator allow simultaneous measurements of the thermal conductance, superfluid mass and vortex dissipation of the film. Data are analyzed in terms of the Kosterlitz-Thouless theory.
