Abstract

Niobic acid and the products derived from solutions of niobic acid in aliphatic amines have been subjected to thermal gravimetric and differential thermal analysis. The evidence from these studies, together with some infra-red work, suggests that an “olation” process must occur in the ageing of niobic acid and supports structures which have been suggested for the product derived from niobic acid and primary amines.
