Abstract
The thermal stability of poly(alkyl-4,4′-diphenoxy terephthalate)s has been studied under isothermal and dynamic conditions. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy has been used to analyze the degradation products at various degrees of conversion. Mechanisms for the degradation have been considered from the changes in the vibrational spectra.
