Abstract

The thermal stability of a poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA)/poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) blend at the same unit mole ratio was interpreted by the formation of the intermolecular bond and its mobility. The mobility change between the intermolecular bond, –COOCH 2CH 2OOC–, which is formed between the side-chains of PHEMA and PMAA, and the side-chain of PHEMA was investigated by two-dimensional Wideline-Separation NMR Spectroscopy (2D WISE).
