Abstract
We review the application of surface Landau level studies to measurement of the point by point thermal phonon scattering on the Fermi surfaces of metals. Results of such measurements in Cu are presented, and compared critically with those of other experiments and with theoretical calculations. Some new and preliminary results on thermal scattering in Al, In and Bi are discussed.
