Abstract

ABSTRACT An ultra-thin aluminum flat heat pipes (UAFHP) with dimensions of 180 × 20 × 2 mm (length×width×thickness) were fabricated by extrusion. The thermal performance of the UAFHP was experimentally tested at different inclination angles and heater locations, which is considered for single and dual heater, respectively. The thermal resistance and wall temperature of the UAFHP decreased in dual heaters operation compared to single heater operation. The locations of the heater have an important influence on the thermal performance of the UAFHP in both single and dual heater operation. The experimental results can provide guidance for the application and design of the UAFHP.
