Abstract

This manuscript presents a short recent review of various techniques used for thermal management enhancement in metal hydride reactors, emphasizing their effect on hydrogen adsorption and desorption. Mainly, the article highlights 4 techniques: The incorporation of various fin types, the integration of heat exchangers within the metal hydride reactor, the addition of heat transfer enhancing material into the MH bed, and the addition of phase change material (PCM). The analysis presented provides brief insightful information about the state of Metal hydride reactors now, laying the groundwork for future studies and advancements in this area.
