Abstract

We present a simultaneous measurement of the superconduction tunnelling density of states and of the thermal expansion of ErNi 2B 2C across the antiferromagnetic transition at T N . The thermal expansion shows a sharp, well defined, lambda type anomaly at T N , whereas the tunnelling density of states appears to be unaffected by the onset of antiferromagnetic order.
