Abstract

For realizing Building Energy Management System (BEMS) on double helix structure, a thermal environment simulator with multi agent technology was proposed in the paper. All the heat sources, which affect thermal environment in a building space, are modeled as independent agents in the multiagent simulator, and all governing equations for thermal environment in a spaces was attributed to simple heat transfer equations. Therefore, the simulator works without detailed Building Information Model (BIM) and becomes lightweight and faster enough to be embedded as a software agent in the BEMS on double helix structure. The simulator was implemented and validated its accuracy of the simulation through the field test in winter and summer. Through the field test, we confirmed that the simulator achieved high accuracy of the simulation and the simulator provided us direct observation of spatial and temporal dynamics with fine granularity for a building space.
