Abstract

The development of infrared optoelectronic and spectral equipment necessitates these devices to be equipped with a new set of components, in particular, thermal sources of continuous spectrum radiation. The range of products manufactured by Russian enterprises does not satisfy the market demand, and imported products for this purpose are often not available to Russian consumers due to high prices. More than 10 years of experience and the potential of the developers in this area at the AO S. I. Vavilov State Optical Institute makes it possible to eliminate this deficiency by applying the accumulated scientific and technical knowledge to the development and manufacture of various sources of infrared radiation (IR) and the use of modern technologies. This article provides information about the recently created range of new heat sources with a compact radiation body based on refractory and ceramic materials whose spectral operational region covers a range of 0.5–30.0 μm, as well as extended low-temperature (to 200°C) infrared emitters—two-dimensional black-body simulators (calibrators)—in the range of 8.0–12.0 μm. Information regarding the areas of their application is also presented.
