Abstract

The thermal behaviors of creatinol phosphate (COP) were carried out with thermogravimetric analysis instruments. The kinetic parameters, including the activation energy and the pre-exponential factor of the decomposition process for COP were calculated through Kissinger and Kissinger–Akahira–Sunose methods, and the thermal decomposition mechanism was also studied with Satava–Sestak method and master plots procedure. The thermal degradation of COP proceeds through more complex and multi-step kinetics. The experimental thermal decomposition data for COP in the range of 0 < α < 0.2 can be most probably described with the three-dimensional diffusion model. The results provide basic data to further investigate thermal decomposition characteristics for the application of COP.
