Abstract
A study is made of the thermal crisis of a vorticity source fl owing out into a rarefi ed space with the supersonic-tosubsonic transition in the compression shock followed by the deceleration of the subsonic fl ow in a submerged space. Consideration is given to a perfect gas with a constant heat capacity and with negligible thickness of the shock and thickness of the energy-release region. Dependences of the fl ow parameters on the parameter of mechanical-energy loss, the circulation, the coordinate of the energy-release region, and on the energy-supply parameter are studied.
