Abstract
This paper describes the photovoltaic (PV) thermal control system (TCS) designed for the PV module (PVM) on the International Space Station Alpha (ISSA). The PV TCS was designed for the Space Station Freedom (SSF). The space station has undergone significant design changes from SSF t~ ISSA; however, the PV TCS design requirements remain unchanged. This paper provides a brief description of the PV TCS design requirements, the design, the rationale for the current design, the control algorithm, and a description of compliance to design requirements.
