Abstract
CNES’s Thermal department is working closely with the French company MAP to develop materials and coatings for thermal control in space [1, 2, 3, 4]. The materials being developed are adhesives, varnishes, greases and coating products whose main characteristic is the low outgassing rate in space. The thermal control coatings are black, white or aluminum paints with special properties suited to the various orbits used during space missions.
