Abstract
The thermal conductivities of binary mixtures of NH3-Ar, NH3-Ne and NH3-He have been measured over the temperature range 39-1996°c for various compositions using the hot-wire method. The observed values are found to vary non-linearly with composition at all temperatures. An attempt has been made to interpret the experimental data with the aid of the Hirschfelder-Eucken expression for the thermal conductivity of gas mixtures.
