Abstract

The presented paper deals with the predicted mean vote (PMV) and predicted percentage dissatisfied (PPD) thermal comfort indices calculation using the Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW) programming software. The comfort level calculation is based on six parameters, two of them (relative humidity (%) and temperature (°C) being measured in real time. For real-time measurement were chosen as test parameters, the relative humidity and the temperature because of their disadvantage of being the main factors of discomfort. The main functions of this application consist in: monitoring, data acquisition and parameter calculus. The tests carried out have the purpose of improving the real-time application presented.
