Abstract

The thermal configuration of a single-shaft steam gas unit (PGU-400) operating at the Shatura State Regional Electric Power Plant (Shatura GRES) and its basic equipment are described and the techniques and conditions for thermal tests are examined. The thermal characteristics of the steam-gas unit equipment (gas turbine, boiler-utilizer, and steam turbine) and of the power generating unit as a whole derived from these tests are reported and their features are analyzed. The major thermal characteristics of the PGU-400 are graphed as functions of the determining factors.
