Abstract

Employing piezoelectrically activated beam-like structures is extending in numerous applications for instance energy harvesters and sensors. On the other hand, advanced materials such as carbon nanotube-reinforced nanocomposites are widely implemented in making passive structures with the aim of using their advantages. For the first time, a study is established on the critical temperature of a piezoelectric sandwich aggregated CNTRC beam regarding the pyroelectricity. The stabilization contribution of pyroelectricity against the thermal buckling incidence of sandwich beams has been demonstrated specifically. It is found that the pyroelectricity develops the critical point for the temperature of a clamped-clamped piezoelectric sandwich non-reinforced beam.
