Abstract
Construction of arteriovenous fistulae for dialysis access in children can be difficult. Biofeedback sessions in combination with an intra- or post-operative sympathicolysis may result in an improvement in the patency of the shunt. We present a case of a 13 year old girl with a Brescia-Cimino fistula showing the effectiveness of biofeedback. Further studies into biofeedback methods to treat vascular problems in children need to be carried out.
