Abstract

The objective of the study is to simulate the insert effect of phase change materials inside partition wall that separates a central local having variable temperature and four adjacent conditioned rooms. Comparative study of thermal behavior of two configurations of the wall is conducted. The first configuration, considered as reference case is formed only by the concrete. The second one is provided with a layer of phase change material (PCM) with a fixed position and thickness. Both walls are compared under the same thermal conditions. The comparison criterion is the internal flux density transmitted to the conditioned room.
