Abstract

AbstractConsider the issue of increasing the reliability of AC traction electric machines. Determine the thermal and stress–strain state of the rotor units of an asynchronous traction motor. To study the thermal and stress–strain state, a numerical method is used, namely the finite element method. This method is implemented in the SolidWorks computer-aided design software package. As a result of modeling, a diagram of the distribution of stresses of the rotor bearing under the action of operating loads was obtained. Also, the temperature distribution in the grooves of the squirrel-cage rotor during the current flow was obtained. Based on the constructed solid models in the SolidWorks software package and the obtained temperature and stress diagrams, recommendations can be developed for the design, research, diagnostics and manufacture of traction electric machines of diesel locomotives. Also, thermal calculations allow you to make adjustments to the typical traction calculations of locomotives.KeywordsAsynchronous traction electric motorsElectric machines of diesel locomotives
