Abstract

EHA has the characteristics of high-power density, which brings serious heat generation and heat dissipation challenges. High speed and high-pressure piston pump is one of the main heating elements of EHA. Its leakage fluid provides cooling medium for EHA motor to ensure the normal operation of the system. Temperature has an important impact on the life and performance of piston pump and EHA. Therefore, it is very significant to accurately predict the oil temperature rise for the structure and heat dissipation design of piston pump and EHA. In this paper, the heat transfer and generation characteristics of EHA piston pump are analyzed in detail. A simulation model is built by AMESim platform, which can be used to predict the outlet and leakage oil temperature under a fixed inlet temperature. The simulation and test results are in good agreement under some working condition.KeywordsAxial piston pumpThermal modelHeat transfer model
