Abstract

When Workshop and Company was commissioned by the National Archives to make a mosaic sculpture for its grounds at Kew, members were slightly daunted. But 650 hours and 15,150 pieces of glass mosaic later ‐ to say nothing of a ton of concrete ‐ everyone is amazed and delighted. Suzie Balazs describes how the major challenge of completing such an ambitious project was a huge boost to members' confidence ‐ and her own.
