Abstract

Microbial infections are one of the leading diseases which are responsible for millions of deaths every year because of lack of effective antimicrobial therapy and this situation becomes more complicated because of microbial resistance towards conventional antibiotics. Qu inoline derivatives have proved their medicinal importance by having broad spectrum of pharmacological activities like an timicrobial, anticancer, antiviral and anti - inflammatory activities etc. This review article deals with the antimicrobial potential of novel quinoline derivatives as an effort to provide better treatment for microbial infections.
