Abstract

The purpose of the work was to test and compare the therapeutic efficacy of the wound healing spray "Acerbin" for medical purposes and Vishnevsky's balsamic liniment in the treatment of thermal burns. The work was carried out on laboratory white mice in the amount of 60 individuals, in which thermal burns of the skin on the dorsal surface of the croup were modeled, and then the tested drugs were applied to the burn site in two experimental groups. Evaluation of therapeutic efficacy in terms of the dynamics of reduction in the area of burn injury, the index of its epithelialization and in terms of normalization of the cytomorphological composition of whole blood. The conducted studies made it possible to establish that the applications of the drug "Acerbin" contributed to a more intensive dynamics of healing of burn defects than the use of Vishnevsky's balsamic liniment, namely, on the 3rd day, the area of burns was less by 0,32%, on the 5th day - by 25,21%, on the 7th day - by 14,57%, on the 10th day - by 18,92%, on the 14th day - by 19.5%. The index of epithelialization of burns under the influence of applications of the drug "Acerbin" was higher than with applications of Vishnevsky liniment on the 5th day by 0,14%, on the 7th day - by 0,10%, on the 10th day - by 0, 10%, on the 14th day - by 0,10%. In the cytomorphological composition of the blood, applications of the drug "Acerbin" caused a more intense increase in the number of platelets than similar manipulations of Vishnevsky's liniment, namely, on the 3rd day, there were more platelets by 2,84%, on the 5th day - by 6,40%, on the 7th day. on the first day - by 5,62%, on the 10th day - by 8,16%, on the 14th day - by 14,29%, respectively. Applications of the drug "Acerbin" more effectively stopped post-burn leukocytosis than Vishnevsky's balm, that is, on the 3rd day there were less leukocytes by 35,60%, on the 5th day - by 41,34%, on the 7th day - by 24,61%, on the 10th day - by 16,73%, on the 14th day - by 11,39%, respectively. Thus, the data obtained on the therapeutic efficacy of the wound healing spray "Acerbin" in the treatment of thermal burns in animals allow us to recommend it for use in practical veterinary medicine for the treatment of combustial pathology.
