Abstract
Buteamonosperma is widely distributed throughout India, Burma and Ceylon, popularly known as âkakrachaâ, âmoodugaâ, âpalasamuâ, âparasaâ, âmuttugaâ, âdhakâ or âpalasâ. This plant is commonly known as âflame of forestâand popularly known as âPalasâ.Diverse biological activities are associated with the different parts of plant such as Antidiarrhoeal Activity, Antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity, anti-cancer activity, anti-anthelmintic activity, hepatoprotectiveactivity, contraceptive activity, anti-ulcer activity, anti-stress activity, hypoglycemicactivity, osteogenicactivity, anticonvulsive activity. This article will discuss the recent findings on remarkable biological activities and chemical constituents of Buteamonosperma.
