Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of fiber bronchoscopy pulmonary lavage (FBPL) on secondary pulmonary infection in ICU mechanical ventilation. Methods Ninety patients with secondary pulmonary infection in ICU mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into two groups according to the hospitalization time, with 45 patients in each group. The control group was treated with conventional aspiration, and the observation group was treated with FBPL, once a day, continuous treatment for 7 d. Before and after treatment, the changes of respiratory function and inflammatory factors were observed, and the occurrence of adverse reactions were recorded. Results The effective rate of the observation group (88.89%) was higher than that of the control group (71.11%, P 0.05). Conclusions The implementation of FBPL for ICU patients with pulmonary infection secondary to mechanical ventilation can effectively control infection, improve the lung function and respiratory function, and has fewer adverse reactions, which is safe and reliable.
