Abstract

To the Editor .— We read with interest the article entitled “Does Early Treatment of Urinary Tract Infection Prevent Renal Damage?” by Doganis et al in the October 2007 issue of Pediatrics Electronic Pages .1 The authors presented a very interesting and methodically well-thought-out study that aimed to answer an important clinical question that could significantly influence clinical practice. The inclusion criteria and methodology of the study were commendable; the authors went to great length to ensure the quality of the data.
