Abstract

The theory of trap filling Schottky diodes is presented. The model permits experiments to be interpreted analytically, showing how the data may be arranged to give straight-line graphs, from which deep-level parameters may be found. Previously the analysis was qualitative, or involved least-squares fitting. The author finds that this latter method gives incorrect results.
