Abstract

An extension of the Faddeev theory for quantum-mechanical three-body scattering is given in the framework of a time-dependent formalism where the three-body time evolution operators are introduced by using two-body evolution operators. From our formalism the Faddeev equations can be derived very easily, if one takes the time limit (t→±∞) and the Euler limit (e→+0). Further, it must be referred that our formalism will be able to overcome the difficulties which exist in Faddeev equations for the double- and triple-collision processes. Also it should be pointed out that our formalism can be very easily extended to the multiscattering processes in few-body systems consisting of more than three particles.
