Abstract

The meson wave functions of the anisotropic chromodynamics theory are used in order to calculate the matrix elements and hence the form factors for $D$, $B$ mesons. Nonleptonic weak decays into two pseudoscalar ($\mathrm{PP}$) or pseudoscalar-vector ($\mathrm{PV}$) final states are studied in a factorization approach, and the exclusive widths are successfully computed. We find that the $W$-exchange contribution turns out to be very important for ${D}^{0}$ and ${D}_{S}$ decays.
