Abstract

Using the first order Bethe's approximation, a theory of solution of chain molecules is developed. Though it is a well-known fact that the first order Bethe's approximation and the method of the quasi-chemical equilibrium coincide with each other for the case of lattice gas or solutions of short chain, this coincidence is found to be not always true for solutions of long chain molecules. The obtained results have the favorable characteristics which the experimental facts require.
