Abstract

The lineshape of quadrupole perturbed deuteron NMR in deuteron glasses such as Rb 1− x (ND 4) x D 2PO 4 has been derived using the pseudospin Glauber model, and related to the static probability distribution of local pseudospin polarization. In the low-temperature deuteron-glass phase, the probability distribution corresponding to a single thermodynamic pure state has been evaluated by means of a simple replica-symmetry breaking scheme.
