Abstract
We study the Kondo effect in a px + ipy-wave superconductor using the Wilson's numerical renormalization group method. For this triplet superconductor with a full energy gap, the ground state is always a spin doublet, which is different from the case of s-wave superconductors. The calculated magnetic susceptibility shows that a local spin is shrunk by the Kondo effect and that the spin of the ground state is generated by the orbital effect of the px + ipy-wave Cooper pairs. We also discuss the effect of spin polarization of the triplet superconductor.
