Abstract
The conditions for the occurrence of ferromagnetism in 3d metals of cubic symmetry are obtained based on the concept of strong interaction in a single unit cell. The Hubbard model with infinitely strong repulsion is invoked for a quantitative description. The calculations are carried out in the zero-loop and one-loop approximations. The reasons for the occurrence of ferromagnetism in nickel and a-iron and its absence in Pd, Pt, and γ-iron are analyzed.
