Abstract

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the method and results of the investigation of the electronic structure of the clusters: Rn + n :[L] k with RE and AC ions. The results of the calculation of the energy and radial integrals are presented for separate ions with unoccupied nf-shell (Nd +2, Eu +2, Er +3, U +2 and Fm +3) in clusters in oxide, chloride and fluoride environment. The change of values of the radial integrals, the electronic structure and energy levels is discussed. Possibility of collapse of nf-shell for the separate clusters is also studied.
