Abstract
AbstractWe present a comparison of Coulomb scattering rates from a two‐dimensional carrier reservoir/three‐dimensional carrier reservoir and quantum dot states. The scattering rates are microscopically determined in the limit of Born‐Markov approximation. The calculations highlight that, within the considered parameter range the scattering from a two‐dimensional carrier reservoir is more efficient than from a three‐dimensional carrier reservoir.
