Abstract
This paper presents a novel method for spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging, achieved through the statistical solution of the inverse optimization problem of image reconstruction, specifically focusing on radar cross-section (RCS). The proposed method improves upon traditional techniques by incorporating signal decorrelation, implemented via inverse filtering. A comparative analysis is provided between the modified method and the classical aperture synthesis approach, both of which are grounded in the optimization problem solution within the theory of the maximum likelihood method.
