Abstract

The theoretical background of this book is firmly rooted in Weberian and Bourdieuian sociology. More precisely, our aim is to follow the program of an interpretative sociology (ger: verstehende Soziologie) concerned with observing dominion and social orders via interpretative means; in order to reach this goal, we are going to use Bourdieu’s concepts of field and habitus to describe said social orders as competitive processes of structural production and reproduction in mutual relation to comparable processes of interpretative production and reproduction.
