Abstract

ABSTRACTIn this paper, we present a theoretical approach to calculate transferred charges in a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) by embedding triboelectric materials with different dielectric constants. The influence of the effective dielectric constant and work function (as a function of dielectric constant) of the composite material is discussed numerically. Two cases are considered separately: averaged surface density of states and . As a result, structural parameters, including both separation distance and composite material thickness, are dependent only for the case of . These findings can guide the design rules for TENG structures.
