Abstract

The fully numerical calculation method for a quasi-optical gyrotron has been investigated in this paper. In this method, the analytical solution to different modes in the quasi-optical interaction cavity is replaced by the numerical solution based on electromagnetic simulation results. A 0.22THz quasi-optical gyrotron with HE06 mode has been investigated by using this method and simulation results show that this approach has a significant advantage of developing terahertz gyrotrons.
