Abstract
Theoretical current/voltage curves for reversible and simple irreversible electrode processes are calculated for a vertical plate electrode under isothermal and non-isothermal free convection. The role played by overvoltage in velocity and concentration distribution functions is shown. The influence of the electrode height on local cd is discussed in terms of the magnitude of the exchange cd of the electrochemical reaction.
