Abstract
The disasters in southwest mountainous cities are serious and special, which has wide distribution range and whose relative factors are complicated and fuzzy. The paper analyses two categories, five terms characters of mountain disaster, which supported by statistics data. The relationship between mountain disasters and the construction are closeness. Disaster prevention and reduction to the human settlement construction is basic function, which needs theoretical support by human settlement.
