Abstract

Theoretical dielectronic recombination rate coefficients are calculated for ground-state helium-like argon. Partial dielectronic recombination rate coefficients are obtained by summing over the individual lines within the five transition arrays. 1s2 lnl′ → 1 s 2 nl′ for n = 2, 3 and 4 and 1s2 lnl′ → 1s 22 l for n = 3 and 4. The partial rate coefficients are presented for electron temperatures corresponding to values of kT e ranging from 0.4 to 10 keV.
