Abstract

The article presents an author's theoretical model for the formation of media literacy through extracurricular activities of students in the 1st – 4th grade. It is based on in-depth theoretical analysis and synthesis of scientific literature and official documents. Its parameters include approaches, principles, goals, expected results, learning content, methods, techniques and forms that are consistent with the planned levels of learning material. The aim is to increase media literacy and media culture of the young students by introducing innovative training in extracurricular activities.
