Abstract

The detection of neutrinos and their properties is one of the top priorities of modern nuclear/particle physics. Neutrinos interact only weakly with matter and might therefore e.g. be used for probing the interior of stars. Neutrino‐nucleus experiments constitute a promising tool for detection of neutrinos. The neutral‐current neutrino‐nucleus interaction is of special interest because it can be used to probe neutrinos of all flavors. We present cross sections for neutral‐current neutrino scattering off the stable (92, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 100) molybdenum isotopes. The cross sections are also folded with a two‐parameter Fermi‐Dirac distribution to obtain realistic estimates of the responses to supernova neutrinos.
