Abstract
Kogelnik's coupled wave differential equations are solved for many incoherent amplitude transmission holograms superimposed in a photosensitive medium and recorded with small equiangular transverse displacements [Formula: see text] between them. Firstly, the case of two transmission amplitude volume overlaid holograms is analysed and a generalization for the case of N incoherently superimposed holograms is presented. Diffraction efficiency and wave amplitude formulas arc given for incidence "near" and "at the Bragg angle."
