Abstract

We calculated the X-ray fluorescence fundamental parameters transition energy and probability values for the ground and excited states of highly charged (He-, Li-, Be-, and B-like) Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Er, and Yb ions leading to the emission of K X-ray lines. In these calculations we used the multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock (MCDF) method, including QED corrections, to obtain wave functions and energy values for each level involved in the K X-ray transitions.
