Abstract
A recently discovered correlation between geometric and elastic-density factors to determine the interfacial superstructure of an a-Si/${\mathrm{Ge}}_{0.2}$${\mathrm{Si}}_{0.8}$(111) heterostructure subsequent to film growth is applied and the results are compared with experimental data obtained by synchrotron x-ray diffraction.
