Abstract

Simple theoretical approximate equations describing the peak height, peak width and peak position in square wave anodic stripping voltammetry have been proposed. The use of mercury film electrodes of various film thicknesses was considered. Under all conditions the application of square wave voltammetry leads to a higher analytical signal in comparison to fast or slow DP voltammetry. The finite element method was used in the calculatioins.
